Professionally, Deirdre has served in the field of education for over 35 years. As an administrator/educator, international certified coach, facilitator/trainer of professional development, she has a heart and desire for adding value to others. She encourages everyone to  continuously invest in themselves, so they can be at their best in investing in and serving others. 

Currently, she enjoys immersing herself in her work as  program manager for CTI’s induction program and as administrator for professional development.  Her passion projects within CTI include giving leadership to the Academy for Coaching Excellence, Listening, Learning and Leading Series: Elevating Student Voice, and Coaching for Equity Book Study series.

Upon graduation from Michigan State University, Deirdre’s professional career began with the Detroit Public Schools, as an elementary school teacher. She later pursued her master’s degree in Teaching High School Mathematics from the University of Detroit and went on to teach high school math in Wilmington, DE and Indio, CA. She earned her second M.A. in educational administration from California State University, San Bernardino.

Once COVID has become a distant memory,  Deirdre is eager to get back to spending time with family across the US,  traveling, and dining.

Deirdre is married to Dr. Albert Edwards, III and has three wonderful college educated adult children and two grandchildren.
