Once again, THANK YOU to ALL who participated in our recent efforts on behalf of our fellow brethren in Uganda!  You should know that due to your BENEFICIENCE we were able to arrange the delivery of two truckloads of food during this most difficult time.

While we were not able to feed the entire community, our actions did provide them with some desperately needed HOPE!

YASHER KOACH!!

It has become rather clear that our sister synagogue in Namutumba, Uganda is going to need our support on a regular basis. The challenges they face, year after year; drought, famine, malaria, etc., do not go away.

Namutumba, which is 5 to 6 hours away from the closest big city of Mbale, is somewhat isolated.  Therefore, self-sufficiency is essential to their long term health and survival, and our helping them purchase oxen and plows is essential for their growth.  With a cost of approximately $500-$600 per pair of oxen and a plow, it is certainly within reach of Ahavas Sholom member families.
