From Rte 280 East:  Exit at Martin Luther King Boulevard.  Make left turn on Martin Luther King Boulevard to Bloomfield Avenue.  Go through traffic light to Crittenden Street on other side (Lou Caputo Florist on corner).  Go round the bend to Broadway. Make right turn and a quick left turn into parking lot.

From Rte 280 West: Exit at Clifton Avenue.  Make right turn onto Clifton Avenue.  Go to Park Avenue.  Make right turn on Park Avenue to Bloomfield Avenue.  Go through traffic light to Crittenden Street on other side (Lou Caputo Florist on corner).  Go round the bend to Broadway.  Make right turn and a quick left turn into parking lot.

From Route 78 and Route 22 going East:  Go east on Route 78 or Route 22 to Route 21 (McCarter Highway) in Newark.  From Route 21, take the Broad Street exit on right.  Drive north through downtown Newark to Clay Street.  Broad Street becomes a one-way street going north.  Go to Gouverneur Street.  At traffic light, make a left turn to Broadway.  Then make a right turn, go a very short distance, and synagogue, Museum, and parking is on right.

From Broad Street in Newark:  Take Broad Street in a northern direction through downtown Newark Clay Street.  Broad Street becomes a one-way street going north.  Go to Gouverneur Street.  At traffic light, make a left turn to Broadway.  Then make a right turn, go a very short distance, and synagogue, Museum, and parking is on right.

From Route 21 South:  Take Route 21 south to Clay Street.  Make right turn onto Clay Street.  Go to Broad Street.  Make right turn onto Broad Street (this end of Broad Street is a one-way).  Go to Gouverneur Street.  At traffic light, make a left turn to Broadway.  Then make a right turn, go a very short distance, and synagogue, Museum, and parking is on right.

From New York City via public transit: 

Go to NY Penn Station.  Take NJ Transit Morris and Essex Line (MNE)  from New York Penn Station toward “Dover” (departs at 11 minutes past the hour on Sunday).  

Get off the train at Newark-Broad Street Station.  Train arrives at Broad Street in Newark at half past the hour.  Walk on the ramp over Broad Street and go downstairs.  Look for a bus stop under the rail overpass on Broad Street looking north (away from downtown Newark).   

Take the NJ Transit #13 “Clifton” bus to Broadway and Gouverneur Street.  Bus departs at 39 minutes past the hour.  Bus arrives at Broadway and Gouverneur Street in approximately 10 minutes.  Walk up Broadway.  The Museum and Congregation Ahavas Sholom is on the right hand side of Broadway, one block north of Gouverneur Street. 

Walking from Newark Broad Street Station:

The museum is about a 15-20 minute walk from Newark Broad Street Station.  Walk up Broad Street (in a northerly direction) and follow the left fork to Broadway (at the Burger King).  Pass intersection at Bloomfield Avenue.  Continue on Broadway to Gouverneur Street.  Go a short distance and the Museum/Synagogue is on the right hand side.
